Life, in Each Day

I think we all reach a point in our lives where we find ourselves lost and searching. All of a sudden we're getting older, changing jobs, becoming parents, moving house, problem solving, reaching temporary road blocks, enjoying the soothing peace of cloud nine, and then the bills come in.

Just doing life! It truly is bitter-sweet.

Changing my perspective, shifting those difficult thoughts and feelings, has really helped me to value each day. Finding Christ and living by His word has been the significant turning point in my journey.

I challenge you dear reader, make a conscious effort today to be kind, kind to yourself and to each and every person you cross paths with, regardless of what happened yesterday or how you think they're going to make you feel today. Pour out your deepest kindness, consciously.

It's not meant to be easy, but we overcome fears and experience such growth, outside of our comfort zones. Learn to respect and appreciate the gift and journey of each day and just watch the glory and wonder your days will bring.

My beautiful baby boy is two-and-a-half years old today, and I'll tell you what, God sent me an angel in him.

The abundance of blessings and joy and peace and restoration, and I could go on all day!

Setting good examples for our children is up there with one of the most important roles of parenthood. To lift them up, encourage them, teach them to love and honour people, discipline them, and love them so much that it hurts, every single day.

In the midst of challenges and struggles that we are going to continue to face in this fallen world, I am learning, through God's grace to be grateful in all circumstances, even the toughest one's. Again, it's not easy, but choosing to live in love, fellowship, good counsel, truth and honesty, make it such a pleasant whirlwind of a ride. He is such a good, true God.

Find that place in every day where happy joy meets scary growth and uncomfortable magic flows, and tuck it into the safest part of your pocket and remind yourself every day that that thing called 'peace' lives in everyday, if your willing to seek it, invite it in and live it daily.

"So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That's why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ's mighty power that works within me."
